Drag them towards monsters to direct their destructive power. Fireballs explode and deal damage to an area. Lightning strikes instantly and can arc to smaller targets. Ice slows enemies in a cone and makes them vulnerable to being shattered. If you conserve enough magic by waiting long enough, or by letting enough spells pass by unused, you gain access to powerful super weapons which can clear the screen and rack up serious combo points.
